Our Facilities

Maesydderwen is set in approximately 8 acres of private woodland, paddock and gardens.  This provides the perfect setting for daily walks with the opportunity for your dog to build a strong bond with us and our other dogs through play and exploration.

The House and Gardens

The house has three receptions rooms downstairs plus the kitchen, utility room and conservatory so there is plenty of space for the dogs to lounge about or play. The house is surrounded by approximately an acre of mature garden.  Directly behind the house is a secure garden area, some distance from the road where the dogs can play safely without being overlooked by passers by.

The Woodland Walk

Our woodland is mainly deciduous trees, mostly oak trees, with several small streams trickling down through the wood to our culvert at the bottom. There is a clearing in the middle of the wood, which provides a place to linger for a bit while the dogs explore, or a good place to throw a ball for a game of fetch.  There is plenty of wildlife including woodpeckers, squirrels and foxes to provide sights, sounds and scents for the dogs to enjoy. The wood is fenced on all sides with a gate at the top to enter the paddock.

The Paddock

The paddock is fenced on all sides with a large section left wild which is ideal for wildlife and for dogs who like to rummage around in the undergrowth.  The central section is mowed regularly and so is an ideal area for getting the zoomies or chasing after balls.  At the bottom of the paddock is a pond which in the winter is largely ignored by the dogs but in the height of summer some water babies fling themselves in to cool down at the end of their walk.
